PERSONAL INFORMATION
Coach Shubert began his coaching career in 1985 after playing at California Lutheran University coaching C.Y.S.A.-South club soccer in the Chula Vista/South Bay area of San Diego. He was a founding member and served as the Director of Coaching for the Rangers Soccer Club of Chula Vista from 1990-2000. Coach Shubert has served in the Olympic Development System and has been a Clinician for the C.Y.S.A.-South coaching license program. At Hilltop High School, Coach Shubert led the Lancers to over 150 wins in twelve seasons with three league championships and was named South Bay League Coach of the Year twice. At Hilltop, Coach Shubert’s team won a C.I.F. Title in 1993 along with a C.I.F. Runner’s up medal in 1997. He took charge of the West Hills Boy’s Varsity Soccer program in the 2003-04 season winning two Grossmont North League Titles and led the Wolfpack to the C.I.F. section semi-finals in 2006 and 2008. Coach Shubert has been married to Suzanne Shubert for 21 years and they have three children ages 12, 8 and 6.
